Disc Golf Courses

Klaus Park Disc Golf Course

An 18-hole disc golf course is located in Klaus Park with Innova Discatchers and cement tees. The course was designed in this scenic park alongside the James and Pipestem Rivers. The 18-hole course is roughly 4689’ long. The pro par on the course is 57 and the amateur par is 64. The course is relatively flat but the abundance of trees and water will make for some interesting technique shots.

The Island Disc Golf Course

This course is going to pretty much have everything and will challenge every shot in your bag. Right now the plan is for it to be set up for 24 holes (but may be expanded 27 depending on the the amount of mowing needed). All of the holes will have single cement tees (with a couple of rec tees) and dual pin positions.

The normal (shorter) layout will play pretty tough with about 6 or 7 legitimate pro par 4’s. A lot of o.b. will come into play with plenty of elevation change on many holes as well. There will be at least 6 holes on the course that will bring the reservoir/water into play – so bring extra discs.

The tournament (long) layout will be the toughest course in the state (save the temporary 18 hole championship layout at Rocky Butte in Dickinson). It will have about 8 legitimate pro par 4’s and probably 2 or 3 legitimate par 5’s. I would imagine that legitimate pro par is going to be somewhere in the 81-83 range for 24 holes.
