29th ANNUAL JAMESTOWN KITE FESTIVAL
The Jamestown Parks and Recreation Department and the “Wings on Strings” Kite Club are sponsoring the 29th annual kite festival at Meidinger Park Field (10th St. & 17th Ave. S.W.) on June 9 – 11, 2023.

Kids Kite Building on Saturday Only
Kite Fest has become a premier kiting event, attracting kite enthusiasts from across the country and Canada. The event is free and open to everyone. Events include fun contests for kids, kite making, candy drops, demonstrations, door prizes and music.

KITE BUILDING CLASS
The “Wings on Strings” Kite Club and the Parks and Recreation Department will be conducting a kite building class during the Kite Festival, on Saturday, June 10th. Materials will be provided. Children 8 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult. You will be able to fly your kite after the Kite Building Class. April is National Kite Month. Tennis Block Party

Bring the family to Bolinger Tennis Courts and enjoy this fun-filled event offering free tennis instructing by teaching professionals along with plenty of games, activities, music, food and prized for kids and adults.
Quickstart Tennis Carnival
June 24th, 2023 10:00am – 11:30am
Join us at Bolinger Tennis Courts for this special day of tennis just for the kids! Enjoy games, prizes, music, food and fun Kids of all ages and skill levels are welcome. This is a great way to introduce young kids to the sport if they have never tried before.
KIDS SAFETY DAY
Kids Safety Day is set for June 29, 2023 at the Jamestown Civic Center from 9am to 1pm.
This event is free and open to all kids to age 12. Join us for fun and learning on how to stay safe including a bike rodeo, free bike helmets, weather safety, water safety, and much more!. Community partners participating include: Central Valley Health, Law Enforcement, Fire and Medical Response.

Gear Grinder Mountain Bike Race
Saturday, August 19th, 2023
Join us for Mountain Bike races located at the Pipestem Creek Trail, 4 miles north of Jamestown on Highway 281 next to the Pipestem Dam. There are cash prizes for the top 6 male and female expert finishers. Plus all bikers will be eligible to win a Garmin Edge 530 Mountain Bike Bundle valued at $370 courtesy of 701 Cycle and Sport!

Recreational/Sport/Expert
Kids Race is 4 to 5 loops near the Pipestem Dam office.
Beginner’s Race is 6 miles in length. It starts at Pipestem Office, and follows gravel out to paved road, then returns on 3.5 miles of North Ridge Trail.
Recreational Race is 13.5 miles long and follows the Pipestem Creek Trail and gravel and horse trails.
The Sport race is 21.5 miles in length. This trail is a combination of the North Ridge Trail and the Pipestem Trail.
The Expert Race is 29.5 miles long. It expands on the Sport Race by adding an extra lap on the Pipestem Creek Trail.

Grab the family and come on out for the Pipestem Creek Trail Walk/Run located at the Pipestem Creek Trail, 4 miles north of Jamestown on Highway 281 next to the Pipestem Dam.
