Tennis Block Party
May 30, 2024 from 6:30pm – 8:00pm
Bring the family to Bolinger Tennis Courts and enjoy this fun-filled event offering free tennis instructing by teaching professionals along with plenty of games, activities, music, food and prized for kids and adults. Rackets will be available for both kids and adults to try their hand at tennis.
30th ANNUAL JAMESTOWN KITE FESTIVAL
The Jamestown Parks and Recreation Department and the “Wings on Strings” Kite Club are sponsoring the 30th annual kite festival at Meidinger Park Field (10th St. & 17th Ave. S.W.) on May 31 – June 2, 2024.

Kids Kite Building and Vendor Show on Saturday Only
Kite Fest has become a premier kiting event, attracting kite enthusiasts from across the country and Canada. The event is free and open to everyone. Events include fun contests for kids, kite making, candy drops, demonstrations, door prizes and music.

KITE BUILDING CLASS
The “Wings on Strings” Kite Club and the Parks and Recreation Department will be conducting a kite building class during the Kite Festival, on Saturday, June 1st. Materials will be provided. Children 8 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult. You will be able to fly your kite after the Kite Building Class. April is National Kite Month. Community Kids Safety Day
June 27, 2024
Kids Safety Day is set for June 27, 2024 at the Jamestown Civic Center from 9:00am to 1:00pm. This event is free and open to all kids up to age 12. Join us for fun and learning on how to stay safe including a bike rodeo, free bike helmets, weather safety, water safety, and much more! The event is sponsored by Community Health Partnership and Central Valley Health.
Quickstart Tennis Carnival
June 28th, 2024 10:00am – 11:30am
Join us at Bolinger Tennis Courts for this special day of tennis just for the kids! Enjoy games, prizes, music, food and fun Kids of all ages and skill levels are welcome. This is a great way to introduce young kids to the sport if they have never tried before.
Check out our free open play street hockey during the month of July in the west parking lot of the Winter Sports Building. We will provide hockey sticks, pucks and nets. Please wear closed toe athletic shoes and join us for some fun! You don’t have to be an experienced hockey player to join in the fun, it’s a great, fun activity for any skill set. Join us on Wednesday nights in July to check out how fun street hockey can be.

National Parks & Rec Month Party in the Park

July 13th is National French Fry Day! We are celebrating with a Party in the Park. Join us for music, family activities, hot dogs and french fries! She the date and keep your eyes peeled for more information.
Summer Sand Volleyball Tournament
August 11, 2024 starting at 2:00pm
August 11th is national ‘Play in the Sand Day’! Grab your friends and put a team together for 4-6 person tournament at McElroy Park. Co-ed teams must have both genders on the court at all times and this is a single elimination tourney.
Fees: $80 per team.
Gear Grinder Mountain Bike Race
August 17, 2024
Join us for Mountain Bike races located at the Pipestem Creek Trail, 4 miles north of Jamestown on Highway 281 next to the Pipestem Dam. There is a kids race that is less than one mile long. The Beginner Race is 5+ miles, Recreational is 13+ miles, Sport Race is 21+ miles and the Expert Race is 29+ miles. There are cash prizes for the top 6 male and female expert finishers.

Kids Race is 4 to 5 loops near the Pipestem Dam office.
Beginner’s Race is 6 miles in length. It starts at Pipestem Office, and follows gravel out to paved road, then returns on 3.5 miles of North Ridge Trail.
Recreational Race is 13.5 miles long and follows the Pipestem Creek Trail and gravel and horse trails.
The Sport race is 21.5 miles in length. This trail is a combination of the North Ridge Trail and the Pipestem Trail.
The Expert Race is 29.5 miles long. It expands on the Sport Race by adding an extra lap on the Pipestem Creek Trail.
Pipestem Creek Trail Run

Grab the family and come on out for the Pipestem Creek Trail Walk/Run located at the Pipestem Creek Trail, 4 miles north of Jamestown on Highway 281 next to the Pipestem Dam. There is something for everyone! We have a 3 mile walk, 3 mile run and 8 mile run.
