McElroy Park & Liechty Park Master Plan

Jamestown Parks and Recreation is excited to share the McElroy & Liechty Park Master Plan—an in-depth vision created to guide the future of two of our community’s most cherished public spaces. Developed by Confluence, this plan outlines a long-term framework for improving recreation opportunities, enhancing natural resources, and ensuring both parks continue to serve residents for generations to come.

The master plan brings together community input, current recreation trends, and environmental stewardship goals to create a clear and unified roadmap for McElroy Park’s 63 acres and Liechty Park’s 17 acres. It focuses on expanding accessibility, preserving natural and cultural assets, improving usability, and integrating sustainable practices such as increased tree planting and habitat protection—all supported in part by a North Dakota Forest Service grant.

We invite you to explore the full plan and see what the future holds for these important community spaces.
