The Jamestown Hockey Boosters is a non-profit volunteer oriented program which has committed itself to provide competitive hockey to youths, ages 4 – 14 ranging from Mini Mites, Termites, Mites, Squirts, Boys and Girls, Peewee, and Bantams.  Along with the normal hockey season calendar the Jamestown Hockey Boosters sponsor a fall hockey camp that is available for all youth and high school players.

BIO Girls is a self-worth building program serving girls in grades 2 – 6. This 12-week program equips participants with the skills necessary to:

·         Combat societal pressures

·         Recognize their values

·         Handle stress

·         Choose kindness

Each weekly session combines life-skills lessons, Christian non-denominational devotions, small-group mentoring and non-competitive physical activity.

Practice and games for the Frontier League youth Fastpitch for youth Ages 6 – 18 will be scheduled on Trapper Field in McElroy Park.  Tournament dates are currently on the website & games will be determined at a later date.  For more information email, Shawn Banet, at  Or check out the website at   Early bird registration March 1-April 15, after that there will be a $25.00 fee.  2021 registration fees are listed on the website and vary per age group.

James River Valley Library System


Are you looking for something fun to do during the summer?  The James River Valley Library System offers many great summer programs for children, teens, and adults.  Programs at the library include summer reading programs, crafts, instructional classes, story time, Lego club and more!


Our Bookmobile also offers a Story Stroll in the Parks from June – August.  All ages are welcome to join the bookmobile at the Jamestown Parks for a socially distanced story stroll, and pick up a take and make craft,  Registration is not required.
