The Jamestown Parks and Recreation Trapper Field just completed some renovations over the past year. In the Fall of 2023, new lights were installed in the outfield, new dugout netting and frames were installed, and a windscreen was added to the center field. These improvements were funded by the Land and Water Conservation Fund Grant, University of Jamestown, Jamestown Public Schools, Outlaws Fastpitch Softball, as well as private donors.
The Tom Wilson Memorial Bullpen was also added this year. The field did not have a bullpen before, so this new addition spread out the players to create a safe environment to practice. Now, pitchers have all the exercise equipment and balls they need in one place while keeping that equipment out of the way of everyone else. Approximately 40 people made donations in Tom Wilson’s name to make this bullpen a reality.
