General Information:
PARKS PROGRAM:
The parks programs are available in Meidinger Park and Wilson Arena beginning Monday, June 7th and ending Friday, July 30th for children ages 6-12. These parks will provide supervised activities Monday – Friday, 9:00am to 12:00pm and 1:00-4:30pm. Some of the activities will include arts, crafts, hiking, fishing, biking, canoeing, and much, much more. This program is free to those who wish to participate, sponsored by the Jamestown Parks and Recreation.
**Parents are responsible for all transportation.
Special Events of the Parks Program:
***On special event days supervisors will not be at their regular park, they will be assisting with the special events at the designated park/location.
JUNE:
2nd - Summer Track 5:00PM at Taylor Stadium, the Jamestown College Track
7th *Parks Program Begins – Monday-Friday, 9:00am-12:00pm,
1:00-4:30pm, at Klaus, Meidinger, and Nickeus parks
9th - Summer Track 5:00PM at Taylor Stadium, the Jamestown College Track
12th - 13th *16th Annual Kite Festival – 10:30am to 4:30pm @ Meidinger Park
Everyone is Welcome! No Charge
15th *29th Annual Dog Show @ Ava Maria – 2:30pm
16th - Summer Track 5:00PM at Taylor Stadium, the Jamestown College Track
17th *Boat Safety @ the Marina, Jamestown Reservoir
-Classes will be held at 10:00am and 1:00pm
Parks program will attend the 10:00am class
18th *Bike Safety Rodeo – 1:30- 4:00pm at Wilson Arena – Jamestown Police Department will be
giving out Bicycle Helmets while supplies last and there will be a drawing for a new bike,
discounted licenses.
22nd *Pool Carnival @ Jamestown Municipal Pool 1:00pm to 3:45pm
23rd - Summer Track 5:00PM at Taylor Stadium, the Jamestown College Track
30th - Summer Track 5:00PM at Taylor Stadium, the Jamestown College Track
JULY
2nd *Tennis Carnival – 10:00-11:30am Bolinger Courts
5th *No Parks Programs due to the holiday
6th *29th Annual Dog Show @ Hi Acres Manor – 2:30pm
9th * Kids Carnival at the Buffalo 2:00-3:30pm, Go to the Buffalo for an afternoon of fun and games
22nd *Pool Carnival @ the Jamestown Municipal Pool 1:00-3:45pm
30th *Picnic in the park! Each park will have an end of the year sack lunch picnic
starting at 12:00pm. Come Join the FUN!
